Orca Vigil: Observe the Intentional Stranding in Punta Norte
I discovered one of the most amazing natural spectacles on the planet: the **orcas of Punta Norte**, in the **Valdés Peninsula**, performing their iconic hunting strategy known as **“intentional stranding”**.
Every year, between March and April (and again between October and November), these majestic orcas arrive on the Patagonian coast to feed. With pinpoint precision, they voluntarily drag themselves along the beach to capture young sea lions or elephant seals, and then return to the sea with their powerful bodies.
Ideal for wildlife lovers, photographers, and those seeking a unique and unspoiled experience. All with a Professional guide who speaks Spanish and English (check availability of French, Italian or Portuguese).

⚠️ Important observations
- Orca sightings are not guaranteed on the 100%: They are wild animals living in complete freedom. Their appearance depends on natural factors such as tides, time of year, movement, and prey availability.
- Absolute respect for the habitat: We will remain in the official viewpoints without interfering with natural behavior.
- Ethics of observation: The stranding is neither forced nor predicted. We are simply privileged witnesses to a unique natural phenomenon.
