- Observation of:
- Southern right whales: mothers with young, flapping wings, tail slapping (lobtailing)
- Unique behavior: Until 30-40 days, the calves do not float and their mothers hold them with their flippers near the coast.
- Steep slope: allows whales to come within a few meters of the shore
- Start of the return to Puerto Madryn
