This proposal invites us to adventure in a dynamic and contemplative way on all-terrain bicycles, moving through the coastal and residential sector of the city. The route will border the coast, contemplating the promenade, the beach and different places of interest along the way, until reaching the area of «Punta Cuevas»: historical site where ruins remain from the first Welsh landing in the city. These historically recognized caves date back to 1865 and are considered the first homes in Puerto Madryn and some of the oldest in Patagonia. There is also the interpretive center where objects from the Welsh settlers are exhibited, as well as the history of two pioneer cultures: Native and Welsh. A few meters away we reach the viewpoint where the “Tehuelche Indian” monument, where we can enjoy a wide panoramic view of the city, beaches, industrial and fishing parks heading north. Here we will make the first stop: our guide will share knowledge and interpretations about the history of the city and the VIRCH-Valdés region (Trelew, Gaiman, Rawson, Veintiocho de Julio, Dolavon and Puerto Madryn), accompanied by wonderful natural landscapes.
Continuing the circuit, we resume the "pedaling" in a northerly direction along the same outward circuit, without stopping until the «Luis Piedra Buena» Pier, extreme northern point of the route. Here we will make the second stop, where our guide will focus on sharing different knowledge of the tourist and commercial dimension of Puerto Madryn. Throughout the circuit we will be able to observe different areas of the city, its local dynamics, and the beautiful panoramic views of the urban landscape and natural basket landscape.
The distance we will travel will be 10km approximately with 2 stops (each 15 min.), rest, conversations and hydration.
