Sailing with Southern Right Whales: A Unique Experience in the Nuevo Gulf

I experienced one of the most magical encounters of nature: sailing just a few meters from southern right whales mothers with young, in one of the most important destinations in the world for this activity.

This boat sighting is carried out in semi-rigid boats, ideal for getting close to the whales' habitat safely and respectfully. Unlike large boats, these vessels allow for a more intimate, quiet, and flexible experience.

With a Professional guide on board who speaks Spanish, English, French, Italian or PortugueseYou will learn about the whale's biological cycle (mating, birth, rearing), its behavior, and the ecosystem of the Golfo Nuevo.

And most importantly: the approach is never forced. The engine stops, and it is the animal who decides to approach. Each encounter is unique and unrepeatable.

📍 Navigation itinerary.

• 30 minutes before: Check-in at Puerto Pirámides, introduction to the guide, and donning of life jackets.
• Exit: Beginning of the voyage through the Golfo Nuevo, in search of whales.
• While browsing: Observation of southern right whales, sea lions, coastal birds and, with luck, dusky dolphins.
• End of the sighting: Return to the port of Puerto Pirámides.

📌 Note: The route depends on the position of the animals. The captain will decide the course based on conditions and sightings.

• The sighting is subject to weather conditionsIf the captain decides not to sail for safety reasons, a change of date or refund will be offered.

• Entry to the Valdés Peninsula is not refundable., since it is a position administered by the State, not by our company.
