I had a unique experience in Patagonia: I paddled through the waters of the Golfo Nuevo until I reached the Punta Loma Protected Natural Area, home to a permanent colony of South American sea lions (Otaria flavescens).

From a double kayak, you will discover pristine beaches, cliffs and the vastness of the sea while learning about coastal ecosystems from a sustainable and respectful perspective.

📍 Itinerary of the day

• Pick-up: Pick-up from your accommodation in Puerto Madryn
• Arrival at El Pozo Beach: Boarding point 12 km south of the city
• Initial briefing: Team presentation, technical briefing, and safety
• Start of navigation: gentle paddle to Punta Loma (~20 minutes)
• Arrival at the colony: responsible approach to the coast to observe sea lions in their habitat
• Moment of interpretation: explanation about behavior, local flora and coastal birds
• Return: row back to the starting point
• Closing day: coffee, snacks and conversation about the experience
• End of the excursion: return to your accommodation in Puerto Madryn
