This Astronomical excursion proposes to experience a trip through the Solar System, Constellations, Stargazing, Greek Mythology, Stories of the Patagonian Sky and Worldview of Native Peoples (Tehuelches), together with a totally natural and nocturnal setting. It invites us to open our senses through curiosity, knowledge and observation, through educational stories, both for children and adults.
Astronomical Tourism seeks to provide spaces and knowledge to people interested in astronomy at a recreational, cultural and scientific level, with the aim of carrying out activities related to the studies of the phenomena of the universe and its celestial bodies. It is focused on promoting environmental awareness and protection of the sky, making contact with nature (in this proposal, with the wonderful Patagonian sky). Each observation proposes a different experience depending on the time of year: stars, full moon, luminous 'Lux' (we discover its geology with its craters, mountains and seas), “Myths and Truths”, Eclipses, Solstice and Equinox (mark the beginning of astronomical stations), among others.
This nighttime adventure takes place at Estancia San Guillermo, a coastal camp located 17 kilometers from Puerto Madryn, which historically has sheep farming and wool production. Over time it was linked to tourism, becoming a warm space with rustic and comfortable environments surrounded by stars, flora and fauna.
