Magellanic Penguins: nesting, feeding young, molting or preparing for migration.
Elephant seals: males with roaring proboscis, females with young (depending on season).
Comfrey's dolphins: Patagonian dolphins playing in the waves (optional).
Local birdlife: kelp gulls, skuas, cormorants, giant petrels.
Native flora from the Patagonian coast.

📍 Estimated itinerary

- 07:00 – 08:00 AM: Pickup from your hotel in Puerto Madryn or Trelew
- 09:30 AM: Stop at Rawson – capital of Chubut
- Optional: Sighting of Comfrey's dolphins (Patagonian dolphins) in a semi-rigid boat
- 11:30 AM: Visit to Hidden Island – elephant seal rookery
- 1:00 PM: Arrival at Tombo Point – Magellanic penguin colony

– 1.5 to 2 km walk along interpretive trails, walking among the penguins

Season: From mid-September to mid-April
Duration: Full day (approx. 10-11 hours)
Closing hour: 07:00 – 08:00 AM
Arrival time: ~6:00 PM

Suggested equipment: Comfortable shoes, warm clothing, sunscreen, hat, binoculars and camera
Pick-up at Trelew Airport: Available (check additional cost for luggage)

🌤️ Climate policy

The excursion is subject to weather conditions.

In case of heavy rain or closed roads, Hidden Island is not visited.
If dolphin watching is not possible due to weather, the optional fee is refunded.
Tombo Point It is visited whenever possible; if not, modification of the itinerary or change of day will be evaluated.
This excursion may be modified for another (e.g. Punta Tombo with MEF or with Gaiman) if the minimum number of passengers is not met or for operational or weather reasons.

Note: The entrance to Punta Tombo is non-refundable, since it is a position administered by the State, not by our company.

📌 Important Notes

Between September 1 and 10, penguin sightings are not guaranteed., since they may not have yet reached the colony.
Rawson is not visited if no one in the group hires dolphin watching, unless the group agrees with the guide.
Dolphin watching is only done in the afternoon 4 days a month; the hidden island tour is not done on those days because the tour times do not coincide, please check the calendar.
